Join us to learn how to effectively communicate with Deaf customers in a restaurant setting
6pm to 7pm - ASL Training
Learn foundational ASL signs used daily in service environments
Understand deaf culture and customer expectations
Practice real life role play scenarios
7pm to 8.30pm - Training Mixer
Mix with guests from the Deaf and HoH community to practice your new skills while enjoying a complimentary buffet and an open bar
Please note that this class is only available for restaurant/bar owners, managers, hosts, barbacks, bartenders and servers working on H St.
-Each class can accommodate a maximum of 10 students
-Capacity is limited so if you are unable to make the class, please email granvillemooresinfo@gmail.com so we can fill your spot
-Classes start promptly at 6pm, so please arrive no later that 5.45pm to settle in
-Please plan on staying for the post-training mixer to get the most out of this training experience
-All attendees will receive a certificate of completion
-Classes will take place on the 2nd floor of Granville Moore’s at 1238 H St NE, WDC 20002
